MoHo region

We all have days when everything seems to go wrong: your office is a tip and you’ve double-booked your own wedding. These are times when for real motorcycle freaks there is only one viable option: hop on your bike and roar off into the sunset! Our touring area encompasses some 60 mountain passes, so variety is not a problem!

The Bregenzerwald in Vorarlberg

The Bregenzerwald region is a real holiday magnet, offering well-constructed, high altitude roads with plenty of bends and light traffic, as well as superlative mountain drives and pass roads the like of which can be found nowhere else in the world. From the Hochtannberg pass and the Furkajoch right through to the Stelvio, there are some 59 passes in total, all of which can be reached on day trips from the Hotel Post.

The days are gone when Vorarlberg was just an Eldorado for mountain aficionados, walkers and cyclists. The many mountain roads, with their fabulous views, numerous passes and countless hairpin bends, are providing a real adrenalin rush for an increasing number of motorcyclists. The well-maintained roads enable motorbikers to travel 300 kilometres a day with ease. And here, in the heart of the Alps, arguably the loveliest mountains in the world, there are some very special sections of road which invite you to linger, to take your foot off the gas for a while, and to spend some time admiring the breathtaking panoramic views from one of the inviting wayside cafes. But the holiday village of Au-Schoppernau offers such a variety of leisure activities that you may want to take a break from motorcycling itself. Nordic walking, hiking, mountaineering, climbing and rafting guarantee a varied and active holiday.

List of mountain passes

The hotel of 59 mountain passes...that’s the name often given to the Hotel Post. And it’s true; the programme of possible one-day trips from our area encompasses some 60 mountain passes. As an added bonus, Au-Schoppernau lies in a valley basin with five approach roads – what more could a motorcyclist ask for?!
